Thank you for this opportunity to express my outrage of Lee Ann Buras, Human Resources Director.
I am deeply offended by this voice of the Santa Fe Public Schools. Her comment in the New Mexican dated March 10 where she states "Kelly is going to be owning them..." is demeaning. Ms. Buras, this is America! In this country no one owns anyone, under any circumstances. Where is the public apology, why has the Administration been silent on this?
Further, in her letter to substitutes dated February 16 she writes "Kelly Educational Staffing will be hosting group informational and transition meetings..." yet when a substitute began asking questions regarding Kelly and their services Ms. Buras interrupted and said "this is not an informational meeting..." Does she not read her own correspondence? Her attitude is abrasive, condescending, and contemptuous. Many of us resent it.
The people she derides and shows a lack of empathy for, are all citizens of Santa Fe, we are parent substitutes as well as substitutes who care about the children in our educational system.
Perhaps instead of "outsourcing" substitutes Dr. Rendon should "outsource" Ms. Buras. She seems a poor representative for Santa Fe Public Schools.
